The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it's alarmed regarding the large range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area daily. The assistance point established for intervention activities a superior influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it tough for that Workplace to attend status sassa to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to allow the servicing of all buyers and maximize website access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
